As the world was locking down, I posted up on my couch with my iPad and pencil, drew and read publications not yet peer reviewed, all while listening to the news from the time I woke up, until it was time to go to bed. Riddled with anxiety, I didn’t leave the house at all the last two weeks of March, I wondered how peaceful it must be in forests and fields without the constant hum of humanity’s daily grind. It had become eerily quiet in my backyard, the deafening silence pierced sporadically but frequently with the blaring of EMS sirens.
